Dr. Lucian Lior MARCOVICI is a consultant orthopedic surgeon specializing in the assessment and treatment of all wrist and hand disorders. Since 2015 he is a part of the Hand and Microsurgery Unit of the Jewish Hospital of Rome (Ospedale Israelitico) which is the biggest hand surgery unit in Rome. At the unit he is involved in research projects, young surgeon training and participating in national and international meetings in the field of Hand, Wrist and Microsurgery. Dr. Marcovici is also a part of the Italian Wrist Study Group and the vice president of the Italian Society of hand surgery wrist arthroscopy course. Since 2023 he is part of faculty in the IRCAD -IWC wrist arthroscopy courses.

Dr. Marcovici obtained his medical degree at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome, and trained at Policlinico Umberto I, the university hospital “La Sapienza” where he completed his Residency In Orthopedic and Trauma surgery. He specialized in Hand, Wrist and Microsurgery at the Jewish Hospital of Rome which is a teaching center of the “La Sapienza” University in these fields. Dr. Marcovici specialized in Wrist surgery and arthroscopy by Participating the IRCAD wrist
arthroscopy courses and the EWAS fellowship Program. He also visited world known surgeons as Prof. Mathoulin, Dr. Luchetti, Dr. Atzei and Dr. del Pinal.
In 2022 Dr. Marcovici started a fellowship program in his Unit for wrist surgery with participants from Italy and all over the world.
