Dr Taleb is a senior consultant Hand Surgeon with greater than 10 years of experience. His practice is based in Mulhouse in eastern France close to the Swiss and German borders. Having started his career at the General Hospital in Mulhouse where he established a hand surgery unit, he is now a senior partner in a seven-surgeon private hand surgery practice. His specialist interests include complex trauma including the care of mangled extremities, nerve surgery and wrist arthroscopy.
Dr Taleb graduated from medical school and subsequently completed his residency at the University of Strasbourg. He continued his higher surgical training in hand surgery in Lille, Bordeaux, Sao Paulo, Tokyo and Baltimore. During his training Dr Taleb developed an interest in robotic-assisted microsurgery leading to a series of peer-reviewed publications and culminating in the establishment of the Robotic-Assisted Microsurgery and Endoscopy Society (RAMSES).
Dr Taleb is an examiner for the European Hand Diploma and has been a member of the European Board of Hand Surgery since 2019. He is an active member of the French Hand Society and the International Wrist Arthroscopy Society (IWAS). He has a strong track record in training and education and is a faculty member for a number of national and international hand surgery courses.
